Super Science Saturday

On the 12th of October the Frozen Ark team participated in the Super Science Saturday event in the National Museum in Cardiff to celebrate Earth Science and Biology week. Two activities were set up to introduce the visitors of the event, mainly families with young children, to the Frozen Ark and the conservation work that we undertake.

The first activity was a map game highlighting biodiversity across the world and the threats to many endangered species and how this causes them to become endangered and the issues that entails. The second activity was a strawberry DNA extraction using materials that the visitors could readily acquire themselves, so they could perform the extraction themselves in their own home.

A huge thanks to everyone in the Frozen Ark team as well as the volunteers who helped us during the event.
